The "Old Fashion" Methods

You can implement these ideas yourself.

Search Engine Optimization and Submission

Invisible code, titles, page descriptions, and the order & frequency of word on your web pages are the things a search engine looks for to rank your site in their directory. A web designer can include these elements in your site. If LTS designs your website we will include all of these elements.

To be included in a search engines index they have to know your there. You can manually submit your website to these indexes. There are hundreds of search engines. Even if you only submitted you site to the top 20 it would take hours. And you would need to resubmit every month or so to keep your listing current.

Web Site Design Elements

Business cards & stationary, search engines & directories, and word of mouth will get visitors to your site. The next thing to consider is to add elements to your site that will encourage repeat visits. You can add op-in emailed newsletters, contests & give-aways and polls.

Paid Advertising

Another method of bringing visitors to your site is through paid internet advertising. A banner ad on a popular site will increase your traffic. It is NOT the end all beat all. And it may not be the most cost effective form of advertising. Other forms of paid advertising include: mass email (you will want to rent a list - never SPAM!) and ads in industry newsletters.
